On February 22, 2024, the Cotecna team in Nigeria met with the Association of Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents (ANCLA) Lagos chapter and their newly elected National President, Emenike Nwokeji.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the existing business relationship between Cotecna and ANCLA members, as well as to discuss the possibility of Cotecna becoming the preferred Independence Accreditation Firm for the soncap programme.
Upon arrival, the Cotecna team was warmly received by Mr. Nwokeji and introduced to the ANCLA Lagos board members who were present. During the meeting, Mr. Nwokeji expressed his appreciation for Cotecna’s continued support and involvement with ANCLA. He also invited Cotecna to any of their future events to showcase their business and educate importers and brokers on the soncap programme.
One of the challenges discussed during the meeting was the scarcity of foreign exchange (forex) affecting the association of licensed clearing agents members’ business operations.
The meeting concluded with a photo session, as seen in the accompanying image. Overall, the meeting was a positive step towards strengthening the relationship between Cotecna and ANCLA and exploring opportunities for collaboration on the soncap programme.
